CommUNITY: Posters of Peace and Shared Horizons

CommUNITY: Posters of Peace and Shared Horizons In-Person

About This Exhibition

CommUNITY: Posters of Peace and Shared Horizons
January 21 – August 15, 2025, during Morgan Library hours.

A powerful international poster exhibition that explores the threads that bind us together as one human family.

CommUNITY showcases compelling works from the CSU Libraries' Archives and Special Collections' distinguished poster collection, which has been carefully preserved since 1979. Drawing from over four decades of international visual art, these carefully curated pieces demonstrate how artists across cultures have envisioned and championed human unity.

From grassroots community movements to international peace initiatives, each piece tells a story of connection, hope, and human solidarity.

These posters illuminate the universal yearning for peace, understanding, and connection that transcends borders and cultures through striking visual designs and bold artistic statements.

Each work speaks to our shared hopes and common ground while celebrating the beautiful diversity of human expression.

This display is located on the west wall near the South Entrance to Morgan Library.
