How can AI use Data Responsibly?

How can AI use Data Responsibly? Online

We know that training data is central to the development and usefulness of AI tools. But what does it mean for this data to be developed and used responsibly?

This workshop will discuss how the adoption of good data management, sharing, and reuse practices can help make AI tools more transparent, effective, and ethical.

Topics will include:

  • Data-related issues in the ways AI technology is currently developed.

  • Data practices and standards, such as the FAIR data principles, Datasheets for Datasets, and the Data Nutrition Project.
  • Actions researchers can take to make their own data more AI-ready.
  • Emerging strategies to prevent the unwanted use of data for training AI models.
